Dubit Newsletter - October
It’s been a busy 2008 for us and we continue to grow with new members in our research, marketing and interactive departments.
Firstly, Sam Brown joins us as Schools and Research Panel Manager. Sam has the ideal experience for this role having worked closely with schools and their PHSE development for an educational publisher. He’s also undertaken numerous research projects, including many with young people. Sam’s role will oversee maintaining and developing the existing research panels as well as growing the new teachers and families panels.
John Prorok is another addition to the Dubit team. He joins Dubit in the New Business Development Team and will look after the growth and development of Dubit's online research panels. John's already proving a hit and his huge personality means Monday mornings will never be quite as quiet ever again!
We're thrilled to announce the appointment of Michel Cassius as a Director of Dubit - adding great value to our Interactive department's management, and building on the company's recent successes in launching Cartoon Network's Minimatch and Yoyogames. Michel has an extensive background in games development having previously worked with Apple, EA and Microsoft. He will be focussing on developing Dubit's global platform for virtual worlds and will be based in both Leeds and London - so give him a call if you want to know more about our plans!
Finally the newest addition to the Dubit office is our very own 7 a side football team. The Premier and Football Leagues are starting to take shape, Manchester United have begun the defence of their Champions League crown and Dubit have begun our offensive battle to establish ourselves in Leeds’ leading football tournament held at Goals.
Yes that’s right, AFC Dubit, start life in a competitive League One table. In our debut season, we find ourselves pitched against seasoned vets Bourussia Teeth and The True Believers.
Although routed to the bottom of the table, displays have been encouraging after taking over from a lacklustre AFC Beer-Barrel side that had conceded 37 goals in 3 games. Here’s to our first 3 points this week against fellow strugglers Chislers Finest.
